With his dynamic dancing and smooth yet gutsy vocals Morris Day played an essential role in the development of the Twin City dance/club sound of the 1980s. A founding member of Prince’s. band, The Time, he remained with the group from 1981 until 1984, when he launched his solo career. Returning again in 1988, he also performed and recorded with the Time from 1990 until 1991 and then after 1995. Day’s songwriting skills were first recognized by Prince when he recorded Day’s “Partyup.” Day’s solo hits include: “Fishnet,” “The Oak Tree,” “Color Of Success,” “The Character,” “Daydreaming” and more. He has also appeared in numerous films and television programs.

SATURN Saturn incorporates funk, R&B, soul with spiritual elements of smooth jazz and gospel into their unique sound. Blending smooth, ethereal harmonic vocals with slick, but polished grooves, the music is tight with layers and layers of slamming, hard hitting rhythms all surrounded by the in your face swirling horn arrangements of the “Rings Of Saturn Horns." THE DRIFTERS The Drifters are a long-lasting American doo-wop and R&B/soul vocal group. They were originally formed to serve as a backing group for Clyde McPhatter in 1953. According to Rolling Stone magazine, the Drifters were the least stable of the great vocal groups, as they were low-paid musicians hired by George Treadwell, who owned the Drifters name. There have been 60 vocalists in the history of the Treadwell Drifters line, including several splinter groups by former Drifters members. These groups are usually identified with a possessive credit such as "Bill Pinkney's Original Drifters", "Charlie Thomas' Drifters", etc.
